Morning Announcements for Friday, February 3rd

Lunch today:  lasagna, green bean casserole, fresh fruit, garlic bread, ice cream sundaes
Students:  There are many announcements today, so please listen.

AR Period 5 today

0.    We are moving our Sat Feb 4th class to Mon Feb. 20th.  Trooper Vince Kurttz will be able to come and speak that day.  Class will be at 8:00 am.   We will still plan on class this Sunday, Feb 5th at 11:00.   My drivers 1&2 will drive from 2:00-4:00 and 3&4 will drive from 4:00-6:00 that day.

1.    All Juniors need to go to the English room today from 1:09 to 1:49 for ASVAB interpretation.

2.    Spalding Gala tomorrow night.

3.    State Large Group Speech at Spencer tomorrow.         
   
4.    Individual speech practice will begin on Tues. Feb. 7. If anyone is interested in participating, please see Kris Falkena before that time so he can sign you up as a competitor. Kris needs to know by Tues. whether or not you are going to be involved.

5.    Var. G/B BB vs HMS HOME tonight.  Reminder that tonight is Senior Night for all winter sports.  The recognition will take place between games.  Also, there is a Soup Supper from 5:00 - 6:30 pm. 

6.    PE logs are due from Brady Hansen, Anthony Hunt and Jacob Sells.

7.    Parent Meeting at Granville on Sunday at 1:00 pm.

8.    Winners from Northwest Iowa Reading Council contest:
Anna Full, "Lost and Found", 7th Grade, 1st place - note her entry can go on to state
Also going to the banquet is: Atze Atsma, "Jace" 7th Grade, 2nd Place

9.    The following team pictures have been scheduled:
Basketball Cheerleaders - today, Feb. 3 at 3:15
Girls Basketball - today, Feb. 3 at 5:00
Dance Team - next Friday, Feb. 10 at 6:00

9.5        High School TSA students - check the note outside Mrs. Full's door.  You need to pick up your competition guidelines by 1:00 today.

10.    8th grade, sophomores and juniors, remember to get "I Have a Plan" worksheets and course request forms to Mrs. Hoadley.  8th graders, include your four year plans also.  Remember, parent signatures are needed on 4-yr plans and course requests.

11.    All Sophomores will be taking the PLAN test in the library on Tuesday morning from 9:41 - 11:41.  Bring a #2 pencil and a calculator.  Sophomores will be missing periods 2, 3 and 4.

12.    Co-ed dance practice on Sunday at 11:00 am.
